Youth Ministry
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
We believe that all God’s children, young and old alike, have the same mission; to show God’s love and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ in their homes, in their community and in the world. The youth program at St. Peter is designed to strengthen the faith of the young and empower them for lives of service for the Lord.
The St. Peter youth program is divided into three groups: 3-5 grade, 6-8 grade, and High school. Throughout the year the youth come together for Bible learning, fun Christian fellowship, and Christian living in through service projects. For example, the 3-5 grade youth will fill boxes in the fall for care packages that are sent to those in need locally or around the world. The 6-8 grade youth will be locked down in the school in May for an “all nighter” of devotion, and fun. The high school group has the opportunity to join hundreds of WELS teens at the International Youth Rally where they worship their Lord, show their Christian love while serving in the community, and strengthen their friendships as well as make new ones.
Starting September 13th, the youth are invited to join the Teen Video Bible Discussion Hour in the Youth Center (the basement of the 1910 Building). All those 7th grade and older are welcome to join the discussion, facilitated by one the parents or pastors. The Youth Center will be open from 9-10:30am. The youth are welcome to enjoy some fellowship with the pool tables or games before and after the Bible Discussion.
